Light-Tight Ventilation Fan |
In order to maintain an odour free, ‘fresh as a daisy’ student darkroom it’s desirable to achieve at least fifteen changes of air per hour within the darkroom. A windowless environment containing twenty students can be very unhealthy without adequate air exchange. | |

The diagram shows the design principle of the PME Ventilation system. The pink area represents the darkroom with air being exhausted to the outside via a light tight baffle system. The baffle has a black coated interior to absorb white light and stop it entering the darkroom. |
Our exhaust fans are relatively inexpensive and simple for your electrician to install. One or more units are generally wired back to a control switch near the darkroom door. |
